A designer turned business coach and organisational mentor, I draw on over 20 years experience working in management and marketing. In the 90s I ran my own London-based communications consultancy specialising in strategic conferences and IPOs throughout Europe and the USA. In 1999, I founded Mediahoney, a trans-media joint-venture merging animation and database technology and in 2001, took the position of CEO of C-seven, a specialist multimedia firm in Manhattan.

In addition to leading a number of successful businesses, I was a senior lecturer teaching across both the School of Art & Design and the School of Business & Law at AUT University in Auckland New Zealand. In 2006, I became 2IC of Shirlaws NZ Ltd and for the past decade have worked as a coach and facilitator across a wide range of sectors in the UK and Australasia.

I hold an MPhil (First Class Hons) in Management in which I explored communication, organisations dynamics and systems theory. I believe we need to comprehend both aesthetics and rationality when engaging with the challenges of uncertainty. The emerging field of 'design thinking' in particular proposes a paradigm where decison-making considers stakeholder value beyond the economic bottom line. With a foot in both the design and business, I take a design management approach to innovation, enterprise and effective change.
